Modul 5 »Migration« fand als Online-Seminar statt
In the 5th module of the qualification programme, which took place on 28 and 29 November as an online-seminar, the trainees dealt with migration theories and (their) personal migration stories. Project manager Aline Mugisho designed the theoretical basis for the weekend seminar, Siwan Alkerdi went deeper into the topic of »escape« and also shared her personal experience as an asylum seeker in Thuringia.
On Sunday, November 29th, we were pleased to welcome Amer Katbeh, trainer and PhD student of »peace and conflict research« an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg. He gave an inspiring and critical lecture on »Integration and Identity« and unconsciously raised gender issues. Furthermore, Ity Fikiri, research intern in our project, was also present. He shared the results of his research on the labour market entry of migrant women into political education.
The weekend was moderated by Margaux Richet and project manager Dorit Machell. This was an absolutely successful event!share on Facebook · veröffentlicht am 02. December 2020
Our prospective trainers gave a workshop for the Audiowalk-Project of Junges DNT
On Monday, 16.11.2020, our prospective trainers gave a three-hour workshop in the Volkshochschule for the project of Junges DNT »In search of the gap – an audio walk in progress«. The three trainers brought their respective professional skills and professions to the workshop: Urbanism, art and the examination of the question as well as acting. The focus was on the perception of discrimination, one’s own relation to the city of Weimar, whose perspectives can be included in the presentation of cities and how good questions can be formulated.
Because until the next meeting, which will take place on 23.11., the pupils will try to collect stories about Weimar, especially from minorities.share on Facebook · veröffentlicht am 23. November 2020
Module 4 had to be moved due to corona – a replacement programme was available
Unfortunately, we had to postpone the seminar »Locating Weimar within the field of Civic Education – past and current narratives«, which was planned for the weekend of 7 and 8 November in cooperation with the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, because of corona reasons. Instead, we were fortunately able to spontaneously bring forward another module: »Workshops Designing«. This was carried out as an online seminar on this date.
Here, the participants dealt with the entire process of creating workshops, from the initial identification of topics to the final evaluation of the implementation. Structural possibilities of the workshops, group work, the personal relation to the topic and thus the own role in the creation process were on the programme.
In conclusion we can state: The workshops are on a good way!share on Facebook · veröffentlicht am 16. November 2020
