On May 11th and 12th, 2024, the concluding segment of the qualifications programme took place at EJBW, focusing on building professional networks. This final module aimed to familiarize participants with a range of organizations dedicated to Human Rights/Civic education, while also providing guidance on potential opportunities for both freelancing and traditional employment.
Among the represented organizations were Klassik Stiftung Weimar, Muslimisches Bildungswerk für Demokratie e.V., Demokratie ohne Barrieren e.V., Schule ohne Rassismus – Schule mit Courage Thüringen, Salto Youth, Migranetz, Projekt »AntiRaktiv«, Thadine – Thüringer Antidiskriminierungsnetzwerk, DaMigra – Dachverband der Migrant*innenorganisationen, DaMOst – Dachverband der Migrant*innenorganisationen in Ostdeutschland, LKJ – Landesvereinigung Kulturelle Jugendbildung Thüringen e.V., and CGE Erfurt – Culture goes Europe.
The programme kicked off on Saturday, May 11th, with Katharina Heinecke, Project Manager for THEx Enterprise, providing valuable insights into the process of freelancers’ registration in Thuringia. Representatives from the aforementioned organizations introduced participants to their respective missions, visions, and ongoing projects. Furthermore, they shared information about job openings, internships, volunteer positions, and vacancies within their organizations.
As the eight-month programme drew to a close, participants seized the opportunity to network and bid farewell. They exchanged tips and recounted their experiences as workshop facilitators in civic education, marking a fitting conclusion to their journey.
