Oumar Diallo, trainer from our network, has been awarded the Thuringian Democracy Prize 2024
On 23 May 2024, Minister Helmut Holter awarded the Democracy Prize of the Thuringian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in Erfurt – the first prize went to Oumar Diallo for his commitment against racism!
Oumar Diallo had shown a special commitment on the ›International Day against Racism 2022 Thuringia‹ and highlighted structural disadvantages of people affected by racism in Thuringia, according to the website of the Thuringian Ministry of Education.
Minister Helmut Holter explains: ›The award winners have rendered outstanding services to democracy and social coexistence in Thuringia. They are committed to fundamental and human rights and to strengthening social cohesion […]‹Oumar took part in our 2020 – 2021 qualification programme and was trained as a trainer. We are very happy for him!
