CGE Erfurt e.V. is running a youth exchange on the topic of diversity and intercommunity dialogue, with a focus on people with added barriers to participation. This is an open call for participants from Belarus, Germany, Greece and Spain. This project is supported by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
Goals
The idea for this »diversity project« is to gather youngsters of different countries, cultures and religions, but with the same challenges such as geographical obstacles, language barrier and lack of opportunities and try to make them understand how important it is to accept those differences, be curious about other cultures and stand against of discrimination and racism. The main objectives of the project are to give youngsters with fewer opportunities a chance to learn and explore, to endorse them to be active citizens of the society, and promote diversity and social inclusion.
Offer for
We are going to gather 25 participants from Belarus, Germany, Greece and Spain, especially those who do not have experience in participating in this kind of projects and do not speak English fluently, and talk with them about the importance of diversity, the roots of racism and xenophobia, stereotyping, non-verbal communication and intercultural dialogue as a necessity for understanding other people.
