Youth Voices Rising: International Training in Advocacy und Lobbying
From 14 to 18 January 2026, the International Lobbying Training was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, as part of the Youth Voices Rising project. This international training activity was aimed at young people aged 18 to 26 who are active in youth work—whether as members of local youth groups, volunteers, or full-time staff of youth organizations.
The aim of the training was to support participants in developing and strengthening their advocacy and lobbying skills. In a dynamic and practice-oriented learning environment, they engaged intensively with political dialogue, interest representation, and decision-making processes at the European and international levels. The focus was on effectively representing youth interests and making young people’s voices visible and heard in political processes. Markus Rebitschek, an educational officer at EJBW, presented the participants with the results of a Europe-wide survey conducted in advance, which targeted young people, youth organizations, and decision-makers in the field of youth.
In addition, participants were encouraged to remain actively involved beyond the training itself. Within the framework of Youth Voices Rising, they received impulses and perspectives for further engagement, for example by becoming youth delegates at international meetings or conferences.
