Modules of the Qualification Programme
The programme has been taking place at the EJBW since 1.1.2020 and will end on 31.12.2024. We are therefore unable to offer any further dates.

The components of the qualification programmes were the following modules:

Module 1: Human Rights
Introduction to Human Rights Education: history and goals
Module 2: Understanding and Designing Learning Processes
Approaches to non-formal education, theories of learning, pedagogical ethics and professional stance
Module 3: Identity, Diversity & Power Structures
Addressing the concepts of identity, culture and diversity; gender diversity
Module 4: Discrimination-critical Educational Work
Forms and factors of discrimination, intersectionality, educational approaches in anti-discrimination and racism
Module 5: Develop your own Workshops!
Target group oriented design of workshops and facilitation techniques
Module 6: Migration
Concepts and methods in the context of migration and refuge, biography work
Module 7: Working in Civic Education
Communication in seminars, seminar room design, working with places of learning & project management
Module 8: Postcolonialities
Postcolonial perspectives, racism & colonialism
Module 9: Democracy
Global perspectives on democracy, democratic educational approaches; democracy games for young people
Module 10: Empowerment & Allyship
Possibilities and limits of empowerment and allyship: self-awareness, reflection and implementation possibilities in Civic Education
Module 11: Build Your Network!
Professional development and creating professional profiles; organisations and practitioners from Human Rights Education / Civic Education and youth work introduce themselves.
There are also opportunities for first practical experience.

Application
The programme expires on 31.12.2024, therefore no more registrations are possible.
Participation Fee
Participation costed 100 Euro. Travel costs to the seminar location could be covered to an amount of 50 EUR per module. Meals and, if necessary, accommodation would be provided.
Notes
- The qualification programme is conducted in German and English. Communication skills in one of these languages are required.
- Childcare is provided during the training seminars.
- We want to make access to the programme barrier-free.
Requirements
All participants received an individual and detailed certificate at the end of the programme. This required:
- participation in at least 8 of the 11 modules
- active involvement in the accompanying online learning tools
- participation in the individual learning support
- at least one hospitation in a seminar for young people
- Practical project: conceptual design and implementation of at least one workshop
In addition, participants had the opportunity to gain an insight into the work of the EJBW and into project management and to receive freelance work offers through internships and other collaborations.
