Ideals of Beauty and Gender Norms from a Postcolonial Perspective
Who defines what is considered beautiful? Where does our gender identity originate from? What influences our way of thinking? And how do I contribute to it myself?
This workshop aims to provide knowledge about queer pre-colonial life and ideals of beauty in the course of time, as well as a reflection on today’s ideals and norms.
By drawing on lifeworld examples, we will challenge and confront these patterns of thinking.
