Background
The term »democracy« often seems so far away and yet so close. Even at primary school age, however, children can already engage very well with the understanding of democracy beyond the political system. As a way of life, they experience democratic processes on a daily basis, understand what options there are for decision-making processes and know how to assess their degree of participation.
Procedure
The topic of democracy is approached interactively using games.
Objective
The objective is for children to get to know the concept of democracy in all its facets at an early age and at the same time to be able to deal with their own democratic processes in everyday life. This forms a cornerstone for growing up as an active part of a democratic society.
Notes
- The workshop can be held in German or English.
- All educational programs can be compiled into project weeks or training courses.
