Dorit Machell
Dorit Machell is a cultural scientist (MA.) and studied Media Culture and International Relations as well as Management in Weimar and Malmö (Sweden). Dorit has completed various further training courses in Human Rights Education, European non-formal education, sustainability education, dialogue facilitation, online moderation, non-violent communication, design thinking, coaching and trainings on inklusive event management (Noah Sow Academy et al).
Dorit Machell has been working as an educational consultant, learning process facilitator and project coordinator in European non-formal adult education since 2011. Since 2017, her focus has been on human rights education, further training for professionals and training for organizations. In her work, she explores the question of how knowledge transfer and processes in organizations can be designed in a democratic, power-critical and diversity- and discrimination-sensitive approach. Among other things, she supports organizations, schools and projects in becoming more aware of discrimination and more inclusive.
In 2017, Dorit took part in further training in Civic Education at the European Youth Education and Youth Meeting Center Weimar, which she then took over pedagogically and from which the extensive qualification program emerged in 2020. Since the beginning of 2020, Dorit has been coordinating the project »Migrants as Youth Work Professionals« at the EJBW as a full-time project manager, where she plans, designs and moderates the qualification program in Civic Education. Dorit also offers freelance training on learning, learning process design, workshop design, project management and comprehensive train-the-trainer courses.
Dorit has lived in Iceland, Sweden and Canada and has now been enjoying life in Weimar with her bilingual and binational family for a decade. Based in Weimar, Dorit works across Europe with a focus on Thuringia as well as online.
Dorit offers educational programs and facilitation in German (C2) and English (C2).
