Weimar Local Action Plan
Participants in the Weimar Local Action Plan (also called »Partnership for Democracy«) campaign to strengthen democracy and engagement with civil society and to foster a culture of respectful co-operation in Weimar, and we want to counteract right-wing extremism, violence and misanthropy.
The Weimar Local Action Plan is funded by »Live Democracy! Active Against Right-wing Extremism, Violence and Hatred«, a programme from the Federal Ministry for Families, Seniors, Women and Youth, and by the Federal State of Thuringia’s »thinkcolourful (denkbunt)– for Democracy, Tolerance and Open-Mindedness« programme.
How can I take part?
Within the framework of the Weimar Local Action Plan certain Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) can apply for funding for Democracy Projects. These NGOs could be associations, unions, accredited religious communities – organisations with legal personhood.
The Monitoring Committee rules on project applications on the basis of the guidelines of the »Nationwide Promotion of Local Partnerships for Democracy« and the »Funding Criteria of the Partnership for Democracy in Weimar«. The Monitoring Committee is composed of representatives of the City of Weimar from the public sector and civil society. You can find the procedural rules of the Monitoring Committee here and the register of funded projects here.
