Vendula Kratochvílová

Vendula has been working in non-formal global and human rights education since 2012. She studied applied linguistics and political science at universities in the Czech Republic, Spain and Peru. After graduating, she worked as a global education trainer for ADRA in her home country, the Czech Republic. She also co-organized the third year of the Alimenterre Documentary Film Festival for the think tank Glopolis and developed and led accompanying educational events and workshops on the topics of »sustainable nutrition« and »consumer responsibility«. She was also active in the Chequia against Poverty campaign, leading workshops and seminars for multipliers.

Vendula has experience not only from the countries of the Global South (Peru, Bolivia, Indonesia). She has also lived in several countries in Europe (Czech Republic, Spain, Great Britain and finally Germany). This is why the topics of culture, identity and diversity are increasingly important to her. Above all, this experience always leads her to reflect deeply on her way of life and coherence with her values.

In 2019 and 2020, she qualified as a trainer in civic education at the EJBW Foundation. This opened the door to civic education in Germany for her. As a trainer, Vendula wants to use experiential and participatory methods to create a space for dialog that leads to reflection and critical examination of one’s own beliefs with regard to the global environment.

Her working languages are German, English, Spanish and Czech.
