Valeriya Kitsis

Valeriya Kitsis is studying »International Relations« and »Law« at the University of Erfurt.

How did she get into civic education? Valeriya’s mother has worked a lot with human rights, which is why she has been interested in this topic since she was a child. Valeriya is firmly convinced that human rights are an important part of civil society, and civic education is one of its foundations.

She lives in Erfurt and enjoys volunteering. She is particularly interested in the topics of human rights, children’s rights, civil society, gender equality and discrimination. She is a woman with a migrant background who often has to fight for her rights and the rights of other migrants.

She offers her workshops in German and Russian.
