Oleksandra Yehorova

Oleksandra Yehorova is a trained psychologist and educator in extracurricular, non formal, international education. Historical reflections on pedagogy of non formal education and civic education in a broader sense was the main focus of her thesis. Olesia was a Coordinator and Program Specialist supporting young leaders, educators and schools . She also practised at university. There she taught in the field of psychology of nonformal education.

Olesia is involved in various international organisations. Counselling and networking work, as well as support both in the professional field and in the form of empowerment (women, youth and families) are the main components of this work.

Olesia feels at home in Kyev, Ukraine and currently lives in Weimar. In her free time, she enjoys reading psychology and politics books as well as going for walks in nature and working the garden.
Her motto is: »Together we are strong!«

Empowerment, non-violent communication, civic education in non formal contexts, refugee, discrimination, resilience and well-being with the aim of preventing and overcoming discrimination are her main areas of specialisation. She prefers to put these into practice through physical activities, practices with body and interaction. Thanks to her many years of experience in these areas, she has a wealth of experience and is happy to engage in any kind of dialogue.

Olesia offers her workshops in Ukrainian, Russian, English and in hybrid format – English und German.
