Maedeh Nassouri was born in Iran in 1986. She grew up in different cities and thus had early contact with the various ethnic groups in Iran.
Maedeh has a classical artistic education in painting, photography and graphic design and completed her studies with a »Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography« in Iran.
She migrated to Germany in 2017. She studied »Public Arts« at the Bauhaus University Weimar and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2021.
She is interested in working with young people and is therefore taking part in the EJBW’s further education program. She would like to work on the following topics in the future Discrimination, diversity, anti-racism, confronting borders and decolonization. She has a strong personal connection to these topics because she was exposed to discrimination in her everyday life after migrating to Germany.
Maedeh uses art, performance and playful methods in her workshops. She offers them in German, English and Persian.
