Irem Orhan
Irem Orhan was born in Turkey and studied English Language Teaching at Uludağ University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2016.
In 2018, she came to Germany for a master’s program and worked alongside her studies as a translator and interpreter at Refugio Thüringen e.V., supporting refugees in their daily lives. In 2019, she completed her training as a civic educator at EJBW and has since offered workshops on topics such as foreigners’ rights, discrimination, and prejudices, particularly within the framework of the state program »School without Racism – School with Courage.« In the same year, she also completed an internship in PR and Marketing department at EJBW.
In 2021, she received her master’s degree in English and American Studies from Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Since 2023, she has been working as an English teacher and also offers workshops on topics such as discrimination, prejudices, stereotypes, everyday racism and intercultural exchange.
Irem offers her workshops in Turkish, English and German.
