Jean de Dieu Cirhigiri
Jean de Dieu’s academic and professional background is extensively international:
Trained in economics and finance at the Université Catholique de Bukavu in DR Congo, he joined Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, Germany for his Masters in Public Policy through the DAAD Scholarship, specialising in the socioeconomy of digitalisation.
Grown up and lived in DR Congo, traveled in Egypt, France, Belgium, Spain, Georgia and Rwanda; worked in Kenya, Germany and USA (virtual), his problem solving skills are very inclusive.
He is currently working in the technology and digital policy of Heinrich Böll Foundation in Washington, D.C. and consulting the German Water Partnership on the internal and external communication audit of their partnering organisation in Ivory Coast.
He is interested in various topics such as entrepreneurship, youth involvement and participation, international digital policy and sustainable development and the exciting interactions between these topics. As a marketing and communications consultant, he is also responsible for the communication of the organization of African students living in Germany. His personality and expertise have naturally led him to organize and facilitate international conferences (off- and online) on migration, environment and entrepreneurship. His training at EJBW has strengthened his sensitivity to working with groups and has shown him new methodological ways to work on the issues he is passionate about.
Being multilingual, he is able to offer his workshops in different languages including french, english and german and feels comfortable working with diversified groups.
