Freddie Stebich
Freddie (no pronouns/He) is studying for a Master’s degree in Political Science at Chemnitz University of Technology and lives in Leipzig. As an East German socialized person, Freddie is involved in a democracy project in rural regions of Saxony.
In his workshops, Freddie wants to create a space for joint learning and awareness-raising processes and establish a connection with the participants through their enthusiasm for a common interest. It is important to Freddie to (self-)critically reflect on his own role with the associated privileges and marginalizations and to invite the participants to do so.
Freddie uses creative methods to create opportunities for self-awareness and empowerment.
He works on the following topics:
- LGBTQIA+: Empowerment of those affected and sensitization of those not affected
- Hostility towards LGBTQIA+
- queer history, in general and specifically e.g. Weimar Republic and GDR
- Diversity and discrimination
- democracy
- (Queer) feminism
Freddie offers workshops in German and English and is willing to travel throughout Germany.
