Collins Molua Ikome
Collins Molua Ikome is a Cameroonian national who relocated to Germany since 2019 for further studies. His background is in International Relations (MA), where he specialized in soft power diplomacy, and in Political Science (BSc). Currently, Ikome is pursuing a second master’s in Public Policy at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt.
Ikome has comprehensive knowledge of contemporary (Sub-Saharan) African socio-political issues, and his major interest is the intersection between violent conflicts and post-conflict resolution mechanisms within this region.
Professionally, Ikome has worked as a policy analyst for West and Central Africa with the Africa Online and Publications Library and as a political affairs intern with the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affair’s Security Council Affairs Division. He is also a trained workshop facilitator on colonialism and anti-racism with the Initiative Perspektivwechsel e.V. Berlin, a peacebuilding fellow at the IEP Ambassador’s Program and an alumnus of 180 Degrees Consulting in Berlin.
Ikome offers workshops and seminars on the topics of colonialism, discrimination, empowerment, migration, and human rights. Using a blended strategy, including the use of storytelling, visuals, and short-animated videos, he aims to give power to the audience through a people-centric approach while making meaningful contributions to advance the current debates on the aforementioned contemporary issues.
His guiding words are »All I know is I know nothing… everyone is pregnant with knowledge but needs a midwife to deliver them for the knowledge they possess,« coined from the words of the philosopher Socrates.
Ikome offers workshops in English.
