Background and Aims
Creative writing can be a powerful tool for learning and relating to new information. This writing workshop is ideally used as part of a seminar week or similar project to process the stories and encounters of the previous days through various writing exercises. This workshop is also suited to people who speak English as a foreign language, as there is space to play with language.
Process
We will use creative individual writing prompts as well as collaborative methods to think about the topics at hand. We will also exchange ideas to hear each other’s perspectives and feelings and reflect on the importance of commemoration in today’s society. We will create a zine together to take our thoughts home with us.
