Sexual Violence and Consensus – so easy and yet so difficult?
Time required: 6 – 8 hours / one- or two-day workshop is possible
target group: all interested persons
Background
Sexual violence is part of many people’s everyday lives, so that one can justifiably speak of a ›rape culture‹. It is often neither named nor successfully combated. Where it is at least seen, there is often helplessness: How can it be countered? How can we do justice to those affected? What measures can be taken to prevent it?
Procedure
The workshop aims to encourage participants to take action themselves and promote joint responsibility. In addition to exchange and reflection, e.g. on the question of how different people experience boundaries, the focus is on conceptual development of consensus, sexualized violence and related terms. The aim is responsible empowerment that enables the participants to take action against violence.
Aims
- Developing an understanding of consent / sexual violence
- Change of perspective and promotion of empathy
- Developing ideas for dealing with sexual violence in an individual social context
