Self Care: Recognise and Process Emotions

Background and aims

In an unjust and production-focussed world, where there are so many issues to tackle and so many responsibilities, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and burnt out. Here, we will take some time to think about how we work through stressful and negative emotions, and try out some tools for emotional regulation and healthy boundary setting. This workshop is particularly suited to multipliers and people working in social work, education and activism.

Process

I will introduce tools such as the emotion wheel, exercises focusing on the body and mind, roleplay, and creative writing. Together, we will create a space to try out these different methods and exchange on how we check in with and regulate our emotions.
