Background and Aims
What are the origins of racism? What does it mean for individuals and society?
In this workshop we will develop a basic understanding of everyday and structural racism. This is particularly useful as an introductory course to the topic for multipliers.
Process
We will work with case studies, historical facts, critical media analysis and reflection to understand concretely how attitudes towards racialized people have developed and spread. We will also take time to discuss how this relates to our own lives and/or areas of profession.
