Background and Aims
This sound-based creative workshop can be adjusted based on project scope and time available. Participants can either choose their own themes or the workshop can be used to reflect on a particular project theme.
Process
We will go through combinations of creative writing, recording and sound editing exercises to either learn particular skills or create a final product.
Skills learned may include:
- Exploring digital instruments and sound objects (suitable for people with and without musical experience)
- Creative writing and poetry
- Using recording devices
- Designing and leading interviews
- Sound editing with Reaper or Audacity
- Structuring a short podcast or radio show
- Experimental sound collage
