Intersectionality in pedagogical contexts
Target group: Interested parties, professionals in the field of education and social work
Time required: 4 to 6 hours
Background
Intersectionality is a common buzzword when it comes to discrimination-sensitive action. Often, it remains lip service for one’s own work, without penetrating the concept and making it fruitful for one’s own work.
Procedure
The workshop would like to explore the following question as a space for reflection: What is intersectionality? How does it work in pedagogical contexts? How can I make it fruitful for my own work?
Objective
- Understanding the concept of intersectionality
- Reflection on own pedagogical practice against the background of intersectionality
