Time required: 2 – 3 hours
Age group: over 16 years (adult)
Number of participants: 6 – 12
Previous knowledge required: None
Description
Nonviolent communication is a very important aspect of human life. All humans have needs and wants but the manner of transmitting this to others at times is perceived differently or difficult.
We always need to be conscious of how we act and how other people see us and our actions. Human feelings are of great importance in daily behaviors and positions. This workshop will
also look into how and in what position we could express the feeling of empathy or disrespect.
Objectives
To create an awareness of human needs and wants and how to address them. What are the differences in needs and wants? How do we get our feelings involved in communication?
Procedure
Different methods used in attaining this. Group discussions and exchange of ideas, self reflection, and videos. By doing so, participants will be expected to navigate through the process, while doing some body positioning and media broadcast exercises focused on the importance of nonviolent communication on the affected population. Participants are also given a moment to reflect in the areas they see lacking to better their understanding.
Notice
This workshop will be held in English.
