Discrimination and its Antidotes
Target group: School classes, grades 8 – 10
Time required: Project day, 6 school hours
Background
Based on the students’ everyday experience, the workshop aims to find out what discrimination is and how it can be countered. In addition to reflecting on their experiences in everyday school life, the aim is to promote empathy towards discriminated groups.
Procedure
This is done through playful exercises in which the pupils are encouraged to change perspectives and enter into discussions with each other. Social movements that have campaigned against various forms of discrimination are also examined.
