Background
At a time when equality and the softening of traditional role models are advancing, we are also experiencing a return to stereotypical gender roles, especially on social media. Hashtags such as #FemininityNotFeminism, #tradwife and #divinefemaleenergy propagate heteronormative ideals, while #alpha and #männlichkeitstärken are used to spread problematic flirting tips and men’s rights ideologies. These anti-feminist positions have established themselves in the centre of society and can serve as a gateway to right-wing extremist radicalisation and conspiracy narratives.
Objectives
In the workshop, we will look at the concerns, the various currents and the argumentation patterns of antifeminism.

- The workshop will work with racist, misogynistic and queer-hostile materials.
