Time required: 3 hours

Objectives
Discrimination is a worldwide problem and combating it is a joint social task. There are various ways of overcoming discrimination, including creative drama. The methods mentioned below are intended to make discrimination tangible for the participants beyond its theoretical meaning and to stimulate thought processes.
Procedure & Aims
Our workshop on discrimination consists of three sections:
1: Warm-up exercises
The warm-up is an opening phase that helps to focus the participants’ attention on the creative drama process. This phase includes exercises in which the body is active and in motion. The exercises are drawn from sports, dance and other movement-based activities. Movement-based activities activate the participants’ heart rhythm, blood circulation and muscle movements to achieve the goal of the drama exercises.
2: Representation
Representation here means putting oneself in the shoes of a person and playing him/her, portraying him/her in an activity, showing a past event or situation and keeping him/her alive. The presentation phase includes all forms of education in which a topic is sought, determined and shown to other participants.
3: Reflection
The results of the creative exercises are evaluated in this phase. In other words, the exchange of various feelings and thoughts about the nature, meaning, quality and scope of the process is also discussed in this phase. In general, discussions about the learning outcomes are held in this phase. This stage is about sharing feelings and thoughts about whether and how the things learned become outcomes and whether this situation affects future experiences, how the creative drama experiences and processes are perceived and how they are understood.
