Everyday sexism, personal boundaries and empowerment
Time required: 2 to 8 hours
Target group: People aged 14 and over
Background
The workshop aims to provide a safe space in which we can talk about personal experiences and develop strategies together to recognize and actively combat sexism. Participants will be encouraged to share their individual perspectives and opinions while learning from the experiences of others.
Procedure
Various types of sexism experienced in everyday life are discussed, whether in the form of sexist comments, unequal pay or gender-based violence. The aim is to raise awareness of these forms of discrimination by highlighting contexts and background information.
There will also be a space to discuss personal experiences and violations of boundaries. We would like to discuss individual strategies for setting and defending one’s own boundaries in different areas of life.
Objective
The aim is to strengthen self-confidence and self-determination and to provide participants with tools to recognize and communicate their own needs.
Note
The workshop can be held in German or English.
