Human Rights: Migration, Refuge and Asylum
Train the Trainer in Civic Education 2018
We can’t work on the topic of Human Rights without looking at refuge and asylum. In our seminars we don’t want to only talk about but mainly with refugees and migrants and learn
from their experiance. Our aim is to create a more diverse pool of trainers. For this reason we offer also this year a train the trainer program with which we want to address mainly
people with refugee background.
Together we – people with and without migration or refugee background – want to to explore the topic of Human Rights, learn from each other, and focus on specific topics in small
working groups. The outcomes generated by the working groups will be transformed into didactic methods for a workshop for young people, which is planned for the end of May.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about non-formal approaches and methods for civic education.
The seminars will be held in English an German.
Following this module, participants are invited to apply their new skills by facilitating workshops at the EJBW on a freelance basis.
The training will take place on the following dates at the EJBW in Weimar:
Saturday, 14th of April 1– 6pm and
